Actress superstar Angelina Jolie has been ordered by a court to give estranged husband Brad Pitt more access to their kids or risk losing primary custody.

The order comes amid the couple’s protracted and bitter ongoing  divorce negotiations.

Jolie was reprimanded by the court for not allowing Pitt to foster a relationship with their children.

According to court documents the Superior Court of Los Angeles County determined that not having a relationship with their father is harmful to Maddox (16), Pax (14), Zahara (13), Shiloh (12) and twins Vivienne and Knox (9).

The Court also believes the kids are safe with Pitt and that it’s critical each of them has a healthy and strong relationship with both parents.

CNN reports the court order requires Jolie to personally convey these findings to the children.

The order further summarizes a custody schedule for the summer with the children spending some time in London where Jolie is filming a sequel to Maleficent and some time in hometown Los Angeles where Pitt will be filming.

The couple were ordered to meet with their children in the presence of pyschologists to explain the schedule.

Eldest child Maddox was granted the freedom to choose how much time he wants to spend with each parent because of his age.

The judge warned that if Pitt’s access to the children remains closed this may result in the custody schedule being amended to allocate more time to him and less to Jolie.

He stressed that failure by Jolie to adhere to the court rulings could  result in primary physical custody being awarded to Pitt instead of her.

Additionally the judge determined a new cellphone policy stating Jolie must provide Pitt with the cell number of each of his children to enable him to text or call each of them at will without Jolie monitoring the conversations.

Jolie and Pitt were together for 12 years, for two of which they were married.

Jolie filed for divorce more than 20 months ago.

Allegations at the time that Pitt physically harmed one of his children on a private flight were subsequently found to without foundation.
